We’re excited to launch a new public forum bringing together stakeholders across the electric power system sector—utilities, system operators, developers, manufacturers, consultants, researchers, regulators, and technology providers to engage in focused discussions on power system stability and oscillatory phenomena.

As power systems evolve with higher percentages of inverter-based resources, large loads, and more complex control interactions, and tighter operating margins, various stability issues including undesired oscillations pose challenges to system reliability and security of supply.  This forum offers a collaborative space to compare experiences, share best practices, and discuss emerging technical challenges and solutions across planning, interconnection, operations, and research.

 What participants will gain:

• Practical insights into stability and oscillation issues seen in real-world systems

• Shared perspectives on modeling, analysis, measurement, and mitigation approaches

Presentations may include utility case studies, planning or operations‑driven analyses, methodology discussions, development of new compliance requirements, or emerging tools and approaches.
