Operations Scheduling

Advancing the design and management of real time variability, uncertainty and frequency stability of bulk electric systems.

Research and Development Challenges

EPRI’s Bulk System Integration of Renewables and DER research area provides renewables/DER integration analytics and information; and develops tools, methods and models to support system operations, frequency control and balancing. These new approaches allow members to reliably and economically integrate onshore and offshore wind, distributed and central station solar PV generation, energy storage, and other emerging resources into the bulk system. It also provides members information and insights about the latest practices across the world.
